Product FAQ

Every phone case reflects our commitment to offer you exactly the case that fits you and your lifestyle — whether it needs to withstand life in a handbag or on a mountain bike.

A first point of reference when choosing your case is the protection level. On each product’s detail page, you’ll find plenty of additional information to help you choose the best product for your needs.

At our headquarters in Bad Kreuznach, a team of technicians rigorously tests our cases in the specially developed NIVOCASE Test Lab to ensure you can rely on the protection of your device.

The most important testing procedures include:

- Drop test: Our cases are dropped from a defined height onto a concrete slab, testing impacts on the back as well as on all edges and corners.

- Everyday use test: We simulate two years of intensive use, including constant movement and shaking inside a handbag.

- Abrasion test: Ensures the durability of the print.

- Tensile test: Tests the strength and security of our phone chain attachments.

The NIVOshock technology is featured in our NIVOcore and NIVOmax cases. Shock-absorbing elements are integrated directly into the case, providing even greater protection for your device — especially in the event of drops from greater heights.

With NIVOcore, the NIVOshock elements are placed at the top and bottom, including all corners. With NIVOmax, they are additionally integrated into the sides of the case, ensuring reliable all-around protection.

Thanks to the raised edge around the display, a certain level of protection is provided in the event of drops. However, we strongly recommend using an additional screen protector. This gives you extra security, especially if your phone falls onto uneven surfaces (e.g. stones).

Yes. Every NIVOCASE phone case is compatible with our screen protectors.

Our Display Protector Foil is an ultra-thin film that reliably protects your device from scratches. However, it offers only limited impact protection.

The Display Protector Glass provides significantly higher protection against scratches and drops. Made from tempered glass, it features 3D edges and a black border for a seamless transition to the screen.

Both the Display Protector Foil and the Display Protector Glass are available in a transparent version as well as an Anti‑Spy version.

MagSafe is a magnetic charging and mounting system developed by Apple. It also works with Google and Samsung devices, where it is known as Qi2.

In iPhones, the magnetic ring, charging coil, and magnetic alignment system are built directly into the device and can be enhanced with a compatible case.

With Google and Samsung devices, however, it’s different: while they are Qi2‑ready (using the “Magnetic Power Profile”), they do not have built‑in magnets. Therefore, a compatible case is required to use Qi2 functionality.

iPhones from iPhone 12 onwards are equipped with MagSafe.

The Samsung Galaxy S24 series, as well as the Galaxy Z Flip 6 and Galaxy Z Fold 6, are Qi2‑ready.

From Google, the Pixel 8 Pro (after a software update) and all devices from the Google Pixel 9 onwards are Qi2‑ready.

The strong magnetic ring ensures a secure hold for accessories such as chargers, mounts, or power banks. These accessories can be easily attached and removed.

Thanks to the integrated magnet, wireless charging is more precisely aligned, resulting in faster and more stable charging performance.

Yes, wireless charging works with a NIVOCASE phone case. It’s especially easy and reliable if you have a MagSafe or Qi2 device and choose a compatible case. However, even without a dedicated MagSafe case, your phone can still be charged wirelessly as usual.

Our NIVOpure, NIVOcore, and NIVOmax phone cases are made from TPU (thermoplastic polyurethane) and PC (polycarbonate).

The NIVOflip case is made from TPU and vegan synthetic leather (crafted from recycled polyester).

Final assembly takes place exclusively for you in Bad Kreuznach.

Our phone cases are manufactured in Asia specifically for us, in compliance with European labor standards.

To clean your products, it’s best to use a mild cleaning agent (e.g. hand soap).

Please avoid high‑percentage alcohol or other aggressive cleaners, as these may cause the color of your case to fade and damage the material.

Design FAQ

Create Your Own

For this, we offer the NIVOCASE Online Editor. Here, you can design your phone case using your own images and text, or decorate it with stickers from our library.

You can either let your creativity run free or use one of our templates and customize it to suit your style.

With our online editor, you can create your personal custom design in just a few minutes.

You can use JPG or PNG files. PNGs are especially suitable if you want a transparent background — just make sure your PNG is set up accordingly.

To ensure optimal print quality, your image should have a resolution of 300 dpi, meaning it should be at least 1,600 × 3,200 pixels.

We can print images in both RGB (recommended — this includes most smartphone photos) and CMYK color spaces.

Please note: images from social media or screenshots are often not suitable for printing and may result in a pixelated appearance.

Your data is safe with us. Your uploaded images are deleted after your order and are not used internally or for any other purposes.

For this reason, if you’d like to reorder a previously created design, it must be created again.

You can find more detailed information in our Privacy Policy.

Only use images that you own or for which you have the appropriate usage rights. By uploading your images, you agree to our privacy policies and confirm that no third‑party images or images from the internet are used, and that you hold all necessary rights to the images.

Designs

Yes, you can be confident that you’ll always receive officially licensed products from NIVOCASE.

We have been working successfully with some of our licensing partners for over 10 years.

There are three sources for our designs:

- We create designs in collaboration with our official licensing partners, such as Disney, Naruto, or German Bundesliga football clubs.

- We also work with experienced artists to offer designs in a wide range of styles.

- The third part of our collection comes from our in‑house designers, who pick up on trends and customer needs and transform them into original designs.

If you’re looking for a specific design, you can use the search function and simply enter keywords. Alternatively, you can browse through our design collections and get inspired.

To refine your results, you can filter by color, style, and interests, or change the sorting — for example, showing the most popular products first or the newest ones instead.

Our products are printed on site in Bad Kreuznach, individually for you, using a direct printing process.

Please note that special finishes such as glittering gold or silver effects, as well as tactile or textured elements, cannot be produced with this printing method.

Service FAQ

Payment

We offer payment via PayPal, Apple Pay, Google Pay, credit card, and instant bank transfer (Klarna via online banking).

After submitting your order, you will be redirected to your selected payment provider to enter your payment details.

Please note that production of your order can only begin once payment has been received.

The security of your data is a top priority at NIVOCASE. We work exclusively with trusted, well‑known payment providers. Thanks to SSL encryption, your data is transmitted securely.

You can redeem one voucher code per order. Any remaining balance will, of course, stay valid and can be used for your next order by simply entering the same voucher code again.

Please first check whether your voucher is still valid.

If it is valid but the code is still not accepted, please contact our customer support at hello@nivocase.com

You’ll automatically receive your invoice by email after your order has been shipped.

For deliveries to Switzerland, customs duties and import VAT may be charged for orders with a goods value of CHF 61.72 or more (including shipping costs). Any discounts or vouchers used are not taken into account when calculating the goods value.

You, as the customer, are responsible for paying any applicable duties and taxes.

Unfortunately, this is not possible. For technical reasons, invoices as VAT‑exempt intra‑Community supplies in accordance with §4 No. 1b in conjunction with §6a of the German VAT Act (UStG) cannot be issued. This means that VAT is also charged on business orders from abroad.

VAT is shown separately on all invoices.

Delivery Times & Shipping

Within Germany, delivery takes 3–5 days after payment is received. For international deliveries, the delivery time is 4–6 days.

We ship our products with Deutsche Post.

You can also choose the “with tracking” shipping option, in which case your order will be sent as a DHL parcel. This allows you to track your shipment at any time. You’ll receive the tracking ID in the shipping confirmation email.

Shipping costs are €3.99 for standard shipping without tracking. Shipping with tracking costs €5.99.

If you order multiple items, you only pay the shipping costs once.

The shipping costs are shown in your order summary before you complete your purchase.

You can check the status of your order in your customer account on our website. You’ll also find a direct link in your order confirmation email.

Of course, we’ll notify you as soon as your order is on its way. If you’re still unsure, feel free to contact our customer support at any time.

All products are individually made for you after payment has been received. We do our best to ensure that your order is produced and ready for shipment within 48 hours of payment.

As soon as your order is on its way, you’ll receive a shipping confirmation by email.

In our shop www.nivocase.de, we ship to Germany, Austria, Switzerland, and Luxembourg.

In addition, we offer country‑specific shops at www.nivocase.at, www.nivocase.ch, and www.nivocase.fr.

Order Status

If you would like to cancel your order, this is only possible as long as the order has not yet been prepared for shipping. You have two options:

1. Log in to your customer account and open the order. You can cancel it directly from your account.

2. Contact our customer support at hello@nivocase.com. Please don’t forget to include your order number (PX…) so we can identify your order.

Unfortunately, it’s not possible to make changes to an order after it has been placed.

If you’ve made a mistake, we’re happy to cancel your order so you can place a new one.

If you didn’t receive a confirmation email after placing your order, there may be several reasons:

1. You entered an incorrect email address.

2. The confirmation email ended up in your spam folder.

3. Your order was not completed correctly.

4. Your order was received, but there was a system error.

If you can rule out the first three points, please contact our customer support at hello@nivocase.com. We’ll be happy to check the status of your order for you. In this case, please provide the email address and the name used to place the order.

Complaints & Returns


Yes, you can also return personalized products to us within 30 days and will receive a refund.

If your product was damaged during shipping, you’ll receive a replacement item from us.

Please contact our customer support directly in this case.

If you chose shipping with tracking, you can find all relevant information via your DHL tracking link. For shipments without tracking, the delivery is made directly to your mailbox. Please also check with roommates or neighbors to see if they may have accepted your NIVOCASE phone case on your behalf.

If the shipment still cannot be located, please contact NIVOCASE customer support.

We process your cancellation or complaint as quickly as possible. After that, it usually takes 1–3 days for the refund to be issued. The exact timing depends on the payment method you selected. International payments may also take a bit longer to be credited.

Refunds are generally issued via the same payment method you used for your order.

Customer Account


You can either register for a customer account during the checkout process or create one in advance directly in the shop. In your customer account, you’ll find all important information about your orders and personal details.

You can find the password reset function under Sign In” in the navigation.

Enter the email address associated with your customer account, and we’ll send you an email with instructions to reset your password.

Log in to your customer account and select “Delete customer account” from the menu.

Important: You can only delete your customer account if you have no open orders.

The protective performance of our phone cases is especially important to us. That’s why, together with our partners, we’ve developed our own unique products that are available exclusively from us.

To place a stronger focus on this new level of product quality and its protective features, we’ve changed our brand name. Going forward, it’s entirely up to you whether you choose one of our designs, create your own custom case, or opt for a clean, unprinted look in Black, Sand, or Frozen.
